What is Good Shepherd Children’s Center?

On the “Children’s Center” page, under “What is Good Shepherd Children’s Center?” please update the information to display:  “Good Shepherd Children’s Center is located at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church and families from all faiths are welcome. We offer a full range of programming: full day pre-school, part day pre-school, and before/after school programs. We also offer a summer program for school age children.

All Good Shepherd Children’s Center programs provide a quality foundation for learning and an excellence of care. Whether you are enrolling your child in a full-time or part-time program, you can be assured that your child is in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where learning and growing happens.

We utilize the Frog Street Curriculum in our infant through Pre-K classrooms. Frog Street is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum program that integrates instruction across key developmental domains and early learning disciplines. The program is engaging for both teachers and children and is easy to implement.

For infants and toddlers, Emmi Pickler’s core values of respect, trust, and acceptance inspired Magda Gerber in the creation of her philosophy known as RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers). The “Educating” approach believes parents and caretakers must have respect for infants and trust that they are natural inventors, explorers, and self-learners.

During the summer for all ages, we have theme based fun programming that is planned by the teachers and changes each year.
